Welcome to May!

This month we will be slowly ending Kapha Season where seasonal allergies are at their prime, and slowly moving into Pitta season in June where the heat element increases in the body. We will continue to use breath practices to warm the body, and heat it up for our practices, but as the day warms, we will prepare ourselves for the summer by cooling the body down at the end our yoga practice and with our pranayama or breath work.

May is the beginning of the CSA Season, so if you want to eat in alignment with nature's rhythms, you'll want to join a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). It is most important in this industrial age and global world that we support our local ecosystem. We just learned the importance of eating local given the virus spread in the Wuhan markets. It is important that we know the source of our food, and that is is organic and grown without adding hormones, pesticides, and grass fed if you eat meat.

May gives us an abundance of healthy weeds to eat.
